On Friday, December 16th we opened up the Christmas Market, the highlight of
which was the Christmas concert held in the congress hall, featuring the famous
folk’s band Kandráčovci.
Attic premises of the Kindergarten building was renovated and new facilities
were added – a gym, language and computer classrooms, as well as the office
for the director and teacher, janitor’s office, study aid room, archive and
hygiene facilities. GETRAG FORD Transmissions Slovakia has donated
30 computers, optical mouses, keyboards and Windows operating system for each
computer to the kindergarten in order to support the development of computer
skills. All reconstruction-related works were executed by the municipality of
Kechnec.
On Friday, 26 August 2011 at 8.00 pm, world- famous Karel Gott captivated
the audience in the centre of Kechnec. The concert audience was sent into
raptures already before the maestro’s performance itself, by stars like
Leona Machálková, Peter Stašák, Félix Slováček Jr., as well as by
saxophone and clarinet solos of Félix Slováček Sr.
Proceeds from the concert will be used for the completion of the 2nd stage of
the Kechnec Social and Health Care Complex construction. The already existing
out-patient clinic providing primary and secondary care will be complemented by
an in-patient ward with the 126-bed capacity, diagnostic centre and operating
theatre with intensive care unit.
Almost 7,000 fans of music came to see the concert in Kechnec amphitheatre,
their applause helping to create the atmosphere of this beautiful evening.
Concert admission fee was voluntary and all proceeds from the event will be used
for a good purpose.
